We are excited to see your smiling faces once again now that the mask mandate has been lifted! The past 15 months have been challenging for all of us. The future is looking bright, and at The Wharf we enthusiastically welcome you back to our iconic corner of San Francisco.

While business was shuttered, big projects have continued in our neighborhood. The Jefferson Street improvement project is almost complete, just a few more items to complete off the punch list. We have a beautiful new flex space/plaza, around the Fisherman’s Wharf Crab Wheel - complete with palm trees - that will be used throughout the year for special events. The sidewalks along Jefferson Street have also been widened which allows for more walking space and additional seating.

San Francisco’s newest hotel, The Kimpton Alton, has recently opened at The Wharf. The Kimpton Alton Hotel is equal parts hip local haunt and relaxing respite for savvy travelers. Their natural light-drenched lobby clad with warm white oak, sumptuous seating and greenery-draped skylights is the perfect spot to pull up for a drink with friends new and old.

We also welcomed new retailers to Fisherman’s Wharf such as Real Old Paper, a locally owned vintage poster gallery featuring unique artists and poster styles from around the world.

Fisherman’s Wharf continues to serve up the classic flavors of San Francisco from freshly baked sourdough bread to steaming hot bowls of clam chowder and fresh seafood (from our local waters) to Korean Fried Chicken, Argentinian Empanadas, Ghirardelli Ice Cream, and everything in between, The Wharf is the best place to enjoy classic San Francisco foods and flavors.

We are thrilled that the City of San Francisco 4th of July Fireworks will once again return to the waterfront. While we don’t have details yet, stay tuned – we will share them with you as soon as they become available!

While many of our businesses have been open during the past 15 months, however, we realize that not everyone has felt safe traveling. When the time is right for you, we will be here to welcome you to The Wharf. For those that have visited recently, we say thank you for supporting our local businesses.
