Standing over 150 feet tall along the Barbary Coast Trail in world-famous Fisherman’s Wharf, SkyStar offers spectacular views of San Francisco and its Bay Harbor. Experience never-before seen bird’s-eye views of San Francisco… from North Beach, Russian Hill and the Telegraph Hill neighborhoods, to Coit Tower, the Golden Gate Bridge, the Bay Bridge, Sausalito and the notorious Alcatraz Island!

    PUBLIC PARKING

    PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION & ACCESSIBILITY

    We encourage sustainable transportation whenever possible. SF Muni serves the PIER 39 and Fisherman's Wharf are via the historic F-Line Trolley, Cable Cars, and several bus lines. Plan your trip via SFMTA’s Trip Planner tool.​

    The historic F-Line street car has a stop directly in front of SkyStar, and bike parking is available on site. Car parking is available in the adjacent parking lot at 2860 Taylor Street. The Wheel is easily accessible via public transit, bicycle, rideshare or car.​

    The SkyStar Wheel is fully accessible for our disabled guests.

  • Reservations are required for our VIP experience. Reservations are not required for general admission tickets. General admission tickets may be used any day or time. 

  • Children under 2 do not need a ticket to board.

  • A paper ticket is not required. SkyStar can scan a paper ticket or a PDF version on your mobile device.

  • Please arrive 15 minutes prior to a VIP reservation and let the greeter or ticketer know you have arrived.  Reservations are not required for General Admission tickets.  General Admission tickets are first come first served.

  • Each gondola can seat between 1 and 6 adults. The VIP gondola seats 5. Each person over age 2 must have their own ticket. Children under age 2 may sit in an adult’s lap.

  • Gondolas are fully enclosed, so rain won't put a damper on your day. If rain is in the forecast, we recommend bringing an umbrella or raincoat to keep you dry while you wait. SkyStar does operate in rain and fog. In case of inclement weather, please visit SkyStar's Facebook page for real-time updates.

  • We do not allow outside food/drinks in the gondolas. If you’d like to have a picnic before or after your ride on the Wheel, we recommend getting takeout from one of the great local restaurants in the neighborhood.

  • General admission rides are 9-12 minutes, and our VIP experience is about 20 minutes.

  • There are no restrictions pertaining to weight, height, or age.

  • If the stroller fits, you may bring it on board. You may also leave your stroller near the ticket booth before you get in line. Please note there is nowhere to leave your stroller once you enter the line.
