4th Of July

2021 marks the return of The Annual City of San Francisco Fourth of July Fireworks Celebration. We invite you to come down to the Waterfront to enjoy the day! A fireworks display will be launched from two barges on the Bay beginning at 9:30 pm. Most of the restaurants, activities, and retail shops in Fisherman's Wharf WILL be open on July 4, 2021.

To make your day more enjoyable, we suggest that you leave your pets at home. We don't want our furry friends to get spooked by the large crowds and noise of the fireworks display. There will be also be K-9 units in the neighborhood.

The state strongly recommends that anyone planning to attend the Fourth of July fireworks be fully vaccinated, obtain a negative test prior to attending, or wear a face covering. If riding public transportation to the Wharf, per federal mandate, face coverings must be worn.

Happy 4th of July!

Getting to Fisherman's Wharf
Traffic in and around Fisherman's Wharf is expected to be heavy. We highly recommend taking public transportation. If you do choose to drive, SFPD reminds you to Park Smart! If you love it, don't leave it. Take all valuables with you. Don't tempt a car thief by leaving cell phones, sunglasses, luggage, passports or other items in your car.

Before the fireworks show, from 3 to 9 p.m., Muni will provide extra service to connect people from the Muni Metro Subway, BART, Ferries and Caltrain to the fireworks viewing area. Along the Embarcadero, Muni will have two shuttle routes terminating at PIER 39.
