Fleet Week
About
Fleet Week is returning to San Francisco this October! Join us as we celebrate the men and women of our U.S. armed forces.
San Francisco Fleet Week (SFFW), an annual event started in 1981 by then-Mayor Dianne Feinstein, is a 7-day celebration and commemoration of the U.S. military forces, bringing civilians and U.S. military forces together for several fun, fascinating, interactive, and reflective events.
Taking place every October in San Francisco over Italian Heritage Weekend, SFFW includes concerts, ship tours, ship parades, and a thrilling air show, making San Francisco Fleet Week a significant and integral part of the city's local culture and economy.
As a model for fleet weeks across the country, SFFW attracts visitors and locals alike, with plenty of free, family-friendly activities, as well as some RSVP and ticketed events.

From 10/7-10/11/2024, active military personnel can ride the SkyStar Wheel for free with ID.
