Fleet Week

About

Fleet Week is returning to San Francisco this October! Join us as we celebrate the men and women of our armed forces.

San Francisco Fleet Week (SFFW) is an annual event that began in 1981. Then-Mayor, Dianne Feinstein led this initiative to celebrate U.S. military forces. Taking place every October in San Francisco over Italian Heritage Weekend, SFFW's air show, the parade of ships and many community events have become a significant and integral part of the city's local culture and economy.

SFFW features a myriad of community events, along with training and education programs designed to bring civilians and U.S. military forces together. As a model for fleet weeks across the country, the celebration stimulates the San Francisco economy and brings visitors and locals together.
